About Us

Locally owned since 1973, City Coast Motorcycles has a well established history and reputation serving the Illawarra riding community. Motorcycling is at the heart of the business, with founder, Geoff Sim, being twice crowned Australian 125cc Road Racing Champion. His son Timothy, also had great success at a national level in motocross. Tim continued on with his fathers legacy following Geoff’s retirement and later passing.

Having been life long supporters of Geoff and Tim, we now continue the passage of City Coast Motorcycles with our passion for all things motorcycling! We honour City Coast Motorcycles rich heritage and history with our collection of classic motorcycles. We are excited to be part of your own motorcycling history as together we embrace an exciting future.

City Coast Motorcycles is an authorised Triumph, Yamaha, Indian, Royal Enfield, Kymco and Sym motorcycle sales, service and repair centre.

City Coast Motorcycles welcomes trade-ins and our selection of preowned motorcycles for sale often changes on a daily basis. The showroom displays an extensive range of motorcycles to complement all disciplines of the sport – from motocross, to cafe racers, scooters, naked bikes, supersports, adventure, enduro, and many suitable for touring the open road.

As a one-stop motorcycle shop, we offer a professional on-site service centre complete with genuine spare parts, accessories and the largest range of tyres in the region. Customers can enjoy the convenience of finance and insurance services in-store.

City Coast Motorcycles boasts a choice of accessories like no other. We stock the latest communication systems, as well as a wide range of quality road, dirt and enduro riderwear, luggage and streetwear. If you can find it we can almost certainly order it for you.

Community Focused

City Coast Motorcycles plays an active part in the Wollongong and national motorcycling community by staging public events including The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride which raises funds for The Movember Foundation. Our event regularly features in the Global Top Ten, with the some of the highest fundraisers hailing from The Gong!

We are involved with Wollongong Motorcycle Club , sponsoring junior through to national level riders as MX Team City Coast Motorcycles and also the Two Stroke Cup.

Our Freestyle Motocross Team boasts some of the best FMX competitors in the world, including Nitro Circus and Freestyle Kings performers.

Locally, we support many social riding groups including Illawarra Café Racers, the St George Sutherland Branch of the Ulysses Club , Illawarra Classic Motorcycle Club, and the Classics & Enthusiasts Motorcycle Club.

As part of the delivery of your motorcycle we may ask for a photo taken of you and your motorcycle and by agreeing you give consent for this photo to be used for promotional purposes.

You should be aware that we may use your phone number, email address and address to contact you in the future.
Unless you have instructed us not to do so, personal information may be shared with related companies where it will remain confidential. We will not sell your details to third parties.
We may disclose your personal information to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

RETURN POLICY

Goods to be returned to us within 30 days from date of delivery & 7 days for helmets.

Items must be returned in the original, and undamaged, manufacturer’s packaging;
Items contained within this packaging must be in original condition;
Part numbers on the returned items must be legible and undamaged;
Items must be received to CCM within 10 Working days of being shipped.
CCM will refuse the return of any helmet 7 days after delivery, except in the instance of a warranty issue.

Helmet returns will not be accepted if the helmet has been worn, scratched or damaged in any way. If we believe that the shell of the helmet has been compromised in any way, we will not accept the return.

Helmet exchanges are reviewed on a case by case basis, and are not approved until assessed by a member of our Online Sales Team and deemed resalable.

CCM recommends that if you are making a first time helmet purchase, that you visit a local dealer to be measured and fitted correctly by a professional. If you do not have a local dealer, feel free to call us, we’d be happy to assist you over the phone.

Freight charges incurred in returning goods to CCM will be at the customer’s expense, with exception to faulty items, items returned under warranty, and items received as a result of our error. In these cases, a prepaid Australia Post postage label will be supplied.

Should we deem a returned item to not be resalable, we reserve the right to charge return postage costs.

Exchange/Return Time Frame:

CCM asks that you allow up to 5 business days for us to process and ship your exchange or process your refund once your return has been received in store.

For refunds, 3 to 5 business days should be allowed from the date CCM initiates refund.

(Some delays may be experienced by movement of funds between various financial institutions)
